Class etiquette

We provide an awesome training environment with an inclusive community to train in, every day. We have a ‘no dickheads’ policy and all of our members are considered family. Please ensure that you arrive 5mins before your class starts, give the coach your undivided attention while the coach is explaining the movements and workouts, use a towel if you sweat a lot, clean up all your equipment after each class and have a great time and enjoy yourself.

I have never done CrossFit before - what do I need to know?

Exciting times ahead! At CrossFit Maroubra and CrossFitCoogee, we cater for everyone from first-timers to experienced athletes of all ages. During your first CrossFit class, one of our trained coaches will sit down with you to explain the structure of the classes and how each works specifically. You will complete a membership form which will give us some vital information about your current and previous (if any) health and fitness status to ensure we are providing you with the most beneficial and accurate information catered specifically to you. We’ll run through what goals and outcomes you’re looking to achieve and how best to reach these over the course of your CrossFit journey. Don’t worry if you don’t know a barbell from a kettlebell - we will be there to guide you along the way. Our trained coaches ensure each session is modified to suit each individual’s needs. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions throughout the class - remember, everyone was once a beginner.
